British Royal Navy sailors carried bitters partly for their supposed digestive benefits, which gave this its start long before it became a bar order. Served in a white wine glass, lightly chilled or neat, it's built for drinkers who want gin's character with absolutely nothing softening the landing.

- Gin2 oz
Instructions
Pour the bitters into a wine glass. Swirl the glass to coat the inside with the bitters, shake out the excess. Pour the gin into the glass. Do not add ice.
