🥃 Serve in: Rocks Glass
Rye whiskey and cognac split the base here, sweetened with sweet vermouth and Benedictine, finished with both Peychaud's and Angostura bitters -- a rich New Orleans classic from the 1930s. Named after the city's French Quarter, it's one of the great New Orleans cocktails alongside the Sazerac. Its layered complexity -- two spirits, two bitters, and a liqueur -- makes it a genuine showcase of skilled bartending. Stirred and served over a large ice cube in a rocks glass.
Stir all ingredients with ice, then strain into an ice-filled old-fashioned glass. Express a lemon zest twist over the drink and use as garnish.
