A vodka-based cocktail built around Cherry Heering, Denmark's classic cherry liqueur, balanced with a touch of Cointreau, a few drops of Angostura bitters, and a little simple syrup to smooth it out. Stirred over ice and strained up, it lands somewhere between a Manhattan and a cherry-forward sour - dry with just enough sweetness to stay approachable. A maraschino cherry garnish is optional, but it echoes the drink's cherry backbone nicely.
Ingredients
- Vodka1.5 oz
- Cherry Heering0.5 oz
- Triple Sec5 drops
- Bitters3 or 4 drops
- Simple Syrup0.5 oz
Instructions
Chill a cocktail glass in the freezer. Place all the ingredients in a mixing glass, fill with ice and stir until chilled. Strain into the chilled glass. If you prefer a drier drink. Garnish with a cherry if you feel like it. Pour. Sip and Repeat.
