🥃 Serve in: Collins Glass
Fresh mint and sugar get muddled right into bourbon here, packed with crushed ice until the outside of the glass frosts over completely. Its roots trace back to the early-1800s American South, where juleps built from all kinds of spirits were a common way to beat the heat. Traditionally served in a silver cup, that frost forming on the outside is as much part of the ritual as the drink itself -- meant to be sipped slowly as the ice melts and the flavors open up.
In a highball glass gently muddle the mint, sugar and water. Fill the glass with cracked ice, add Bourbon and stir well until the glass is well frosted. Garnish with a mint sprig.
