🥃 Serve in: Rocks Glass
The Okanagan Bramble gives a British classic a Canadian twist. Gin, fresh lemon and simple syrup shake up into a crisp, bright sour, which is poured over small ice in a rocks glass. Then haskap liqueur takes the place of the traditional blackberry liqueur. It’s drizzled over the top and bleeds down through the ice in deep purple ribbons. Haskap, sometimes called honeyberry, is a hardy berry that thrives in Canadian orchards. It tastes like a cross between blueberry and raspberry, with a tangy edge that suits gin’s botanicals well. The drink starts tart and citrusy and turns richer and fruitier as the liqueur works its way down. A handful of fresh berries on top finishes it off.
Pour Gin, Lemon juice and simple syrup into a shaker filled 2/3rds with ice. Shake until chilled. Pour into a Rocks glass filled with small ice. Pour the Haskap liqueur over the top and garnish with berries.
