Hemingway Special Daiquiri (Papa Doble) cocktail in a Martini Glass

Hemingway Special Daiquiri (Papa Doble)

Rum Cocktail Alcoholic

🥃 Serve in: Martini Glass

Rum gets doubled here -- hence "Papa Doble" -- and built with pink grapefruit juice, maraschino liqueur, and lime juice, with just enough sugar syrup to round it out. Created at Havana's El Floridita bar, where Hemingway was said to drink several in one sitting, it's the definitive version of the writer's personal Daiquiri. Tart, bracing, and considerably stronger than a standard Daiquiri, it's not for the faint of heart.
