Georgia on My Mind is a Southern-inspired bourbon sour built for warm evenings on the porch. Fresh basil gets muddled first, releasing a bright, herbal aroma that sets the tone. Bourbon brings its rich caramel and vanilla warmth, while peach schnapps and peach nectar layer in the juicy, sun-ripened sweetness of the Peach State. Ginger liqueur adds a gentle spicy kick, and a few dashes of bitters pull everything into balance. Served up in a chilled Nick and Nora and topped with a sprig of basil, it’s smooth, fruity and just a little bit spicy.

Instructions

Muddle the basil in a cocktail shaker. Add the burbon, ginger liqueur, peach schnapps, peach nectar and bitters. pour into shaker 2/3rds filled with ice. Shake until chilled. Serve in a chilled Nick and Nora. Garnish with a sprig of Basil
