🥃 Serve in: Whiskey Sour Glass
Take a classic Whiskey Sour, then borrow the egg-white float from the Ramos Gin Fizz playbook and you've got the Boston Sour -- same lemon and sugar, but finished with a silky, frothy top that softens all that tartness. Garnished with a lemon wheel and cherry, it's named for the city and built as an object lesson in what egg white actually does to a sour's texture. A good one to make twice -- once without the egg white, once with -- just to feel the difference.
Shake juice of lemon, powdered sugar, blended whiskey, and egg white with cracked ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Add the slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.
