Tequila and orange juice get a slow pour of grenadine dropped in last, sinking through the glass to build that signature yellow-to-red gradient. The Rolling Stones' 1970s Los Angeles tour gets a lot of the credit for making this famous, and it's stayed one of the most recognizable tequila cocktails ever since. Built over ice and left unstirred -- disturb that gradient and you've missed the whole point.

Instructions
Pour the tequila and orange juice into glass over ice. Add the grenadine, which will sink to the bottom. Stir gently to create the sunrise effect. Garnish and serve.
