Mai Tai cocktail in a Collins Glass

Mai Tai

Rum Cocktail Alcoholic IBA: Contemporary Classics

🥃 Serve in: Collins Glass

Orgeat's nutty sweetness anchors this one, with triple sec and a classic sweet-and-sour mix rounding out light rum into tiki's most iconic export. Trader Vic gets most of the credit for inventing it in the 1940s, though rival tiki pioneer Don the Beachcomber has never fully conceded the point. Served over crushed ice with a cherry on top, it's rum-forward, nutty, and about as essential as tiki cocktails get.
