🥃 Serve in: Cocktail Glass
Whiskey meets dry vermouth's crispness and pineapple juice's tropical sweetness -- a pairing that sounds like it shouldn't work and somehow does. It takes its name from New York's Algonquin Hotel, longtime home base of the Round Table's literary crowd, who presumably needed something to drink between witticisms. Lighter and fruitier than a Manhattan, it's worth stirring well and straining carefully -- give it too loose a hand and the pineapple takes over.
Combine and shake all ingredients with ice, strain contents into a cocktail glass, and serve.
