Raspberry Syrup

Raspberry Syrup

ABV: 0% (non-alcoholic)

A sweet syrup flavored with raspberries, used to add fruit flavor and color.

Origin

A bartender's flavored simple syrup, made from raspberry puree or juice combined with sugar, part of the broader modern flavored-syrup toolkit.

History

Raspberry syrup follows the same general path as other fruit-infused bar syrups, giving bartenders a non-alcoholic way to add concentrated berry sweetness and color to a drink without fresh fruit or a dedicated liqueur. It became especially popular during the craft cocktail revival's renewed emphasis on precise, made-in-house flavored ingredients.

Flavor profile

Sweet, bright raspberry flavor in a pourable liquid form.

Tasting notes

A clean, true raspberry sweetness that mixes easily into a cold cocktail, adding both flavor and a vivid red-pink color without any alcohol content of its own.
