Honey syrup sweetens gin here instead of plain sugar, brightened with both lemon and orange juice for a rounder citrus profile. Honey was originally used partly to mask the rough edges of bathtub gin during Prohibition, but it's stuck around because it genuinely pairs beautifully with juniper. Bright, floral, and easy-drinking, it's one of the most enduring Prohibition-era classics still on menus today. Shaken hard and served up, a great starting point for gin sours.
Shake all ingredients with ice. Fine strain into a chilled coupe. Express an orange zest twist over the drink and use as garnish.
